Still Life Drawings
These were made when the class practiced value in drawings and art, each in a different medium. The bone was done in oil pastels. Second, the dice jar was done using colored pencils. Finally, the tree was made using a charcoal pencil.
Photography
The photos above were taken at W.H. Croxford. These were used in two different assignments, Lighting and Pandemic. My lighting assignment used the first four photos with the solid backgrounds. The pandemic assignment used the last two images.
Who Am I
The above drawing is a multi-media project representing who I am as both an artist and a person. In this piece the mediums used include: liner pens, pencil crayons, oil pastels, charcoal, pencil, watercolor, paper mache and alcohol ink markers.
The above 11 digital portraits are of my main protagonists of my comic and the colors I associate them with.
SMART Goal Pieces
These two pieces were completed in the time frame of my first art goal. This goal was to track my art progress over the span of roughly 6 months. The first piece was completed in September of 2020. The second, of my original character, was finished in February of 2021. It is obvious when side by side, but I am better at shading and drawing people in general.
Research Project - The Op Art Movement
The above infographic is one I made using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. The paintings at the bottom were not by me, although the drawings in the main portion of the infographic are.
These are the closeups of the four vector graphics I made using Adobe Illustrator.
Sculpture Design Challenge
This is a sculpture of a fox skull made out of cardboard and toothpicks, held together with hot glue. This was done in about a week, and overall was a fun challenge to complete.
Silver Lining - Pandemic Video
This video was made over the course of about two weeks, where my group planned to show getting dogs over the pandemic. The main story is Janae losing her one dog, and getting another not too long later, and he became the silver lining of the pandemic.
Ghost Town Photography
For this assignment, I wandered around the ghost town Rowley. I took a variety of shots either through, or of glass. The wasp nest, and restaurant tables, where through a glass pane. While the bank window, church window, and shattered glass are of an actual glass pane.
Movie Poster - Fractured Mind
For this assignment, I had taken many shots of the Performing Art Academy students, as they starred in their short film Fractured Mind. The poster, I edited each photo, then transferred them into Clip Studio, and adjusted the opacity of the ones in the back on the glass. Then, I added the text on top, over the images.
Collage Painting
This painting was completed in 2 weeks. The process started with creating a collage with mixed media, then taking a picture as a reference from a portion of the collage. Then, for the next two weeks I painted each portion of the painting after sketching. In the patterned portions, I had to re-sketch after covering the original with the base color of paint. The finishing touches were overing the remaining pencil lines.
Perspective Drawing
This drawing was made using pencil, a smudge pen, erasure, and rulers. It took about a week and was fun, but annoying to do. Filling in each building got tiring after a while, but I like the turnout.
Subtractive Drawing
This subtractive drawing was made by layering charcoal, and using an eraser to create the drawing. The subject in the piece is my dog Copper.
Screencaps
The above images are drawings in a realistic, partially painted style. All were done digitally. To do these, I take a screenshot of a character from a TV show, such as Criminal Minds, among others. Then, I outline the main points on the screenshot. After that, I move it to the side on the canvas, and start coloring it in. I use multiple layers, typically there's one for their clothes, jewelry, hair, etc.
This is a drawing I did of a scene of the Joker in the Dark Knight trilogy. This was for an English
assignment, and I spent multiple hours on it.
