Alex inspires me because of his clear and distinct line art, along with the bright colors, shading and effects that he uses in his pieces. In the image on the right of High Hopes, he puts the characters with similar, yet contrasting designs by each other, with Paddy, being the one at the front, offering the viewer a letter.
The animation in the video is extremely smooth while retaining a cartoonish design. The artist makes the characters actually move like an animal. The backgrounds are nice to look at, and are fairly simple so they don't draw away from the characters, though the backgrounds help make it a cohesive art piece and animation.
Mo's art inspires me because of the bold shading and lighting, along with her use of affects. She is currently working on and creating a comic called "Road to the Remedy" which can be read on Webtoon and Tapas. The story follows her characters, most of whom are in the colored digital art above.
This is the first chapter of the story of High Hopes. This is a series that the top artist Alex works on with a small team of his friends to create a cartoon type series for their Dungeons and Dragons campaign. Multiple people work on this at once, everyone voice acts their own characters, they make their own soundtrack, etc.
This animation is of the six main characters from the book Six Of Crows. The shading sets the mood on many of the characters. The fluid motion of the animation is amazing, each part captures the characters and how they are within the book, along partially with their roles within. This inspires me because even though we have a description of the characters, the animator truly brings them to life in an 36 second animation.
This artist inspires me by her use of ink, and her ability to add a lot of depth to her art, even when using a limited amount of color. The piece on the left is part of her 'Folklore' art series, and is of the Banshee, an Irish omen of death. The right art piece is of another part of the Folklore series, and is of an American legend known as the Black-Eyed Children.
